Re: Connect a Dual Counter to a WattNode [ Read Responses | Return to the Index ]
Posted by Bill on Friday, 15 January 2010, at 11:01 p.m., Phil, to connect a WattNode to the Hobby Boards' counter module in a manner so as to use a Pull Up resistor configuration, is this the connection mechanism: - WEL's 1-wire bus +5V to counter's +5 V
I'm out of town at the moment so I can't show this in picture form. If this Pull Up configuration is correct, then the counter's on-board 1M resistor is in parallel to the WattNode's + and - inputs. I assume this is not material. My second question is: can I get access to a +5 V regulated supply from my Rev. 3.2 WEL board, given that I have my WEL power switch set to unregulated power for my 3rd 1-wire network wire (my RH sensors require 9 - 12 V that's coming from the WEL)? And if so, from where? I can string another wire for my 1-wire network (only implemented the 3 wires available at the time of purchasing the Rev. 3.2 board), to my counters out on the 1-wire network, but, I don't know where to obtain regulated +5 VDC from my Rev. 3.2 WEL unit. Thank you. Best regards, Bill Responses
