Re: Connect a Dual Counter to a WattNode [ Read Responses | Return to the Index ]
Posted by Constantin on Sunday, 17 January 2010, at 8:06 a.m., Alternatively, consider buliding a small board to supply 5vdc locally. There will be voltage drop for wires of any distance so using 9vdc from the power supply as a start with a to-92 LDO voltage regulator and a small capacitor should do the trick. IIRC, my wattnode + hobbyboard combination has been running for months w/o external power. Not sure it's needed. Perhaps it's because I sited the wattnode and hobbyboard closely together? In my setup, it's the 1-wire bus that snakes it's way to the electrical panel. Responses
This site is all about building a cool, energy efficient house, that makes maximum use of earth sheltered design, passive solar heating and cooling, geothermal exchange energy management, and right sizing of the house for it's designated use. The home's placement is on a south-facing hillside in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. This site describes the design process, the technologies used and the expected results. We also have a comprehensive Links Page for anyone who is also interested in designing a similar project. |
